Real-time Bluetooth technology

BlueWizdom was the first mobile bluetooth application for a windows mobile Smartphone for motorcycle headsets. Bluewizdom was developed to allow real-time communication from bike to bike and bike to pillion.


Funded by the East of England development agency and Global Intermedia. The projected was completed and acquired in 2005.

Julian also joins the team at Global Intermedia as an associate for information security investments.

Real-time news alerts

 

Net Sorcerer was the first real-time desktop news alerts application developed on the internet in 2000 by Matthew Hagger and Eugene Kouumdjieff. Initially running on 28k dial up connections, this was the first real-time web client application of its kind and set the benchmark for a number of media companies and their news alerts strategy, worldwide.


Technology such as Adobe Air along with real-time products that utilise these platforms can look back to Net Sorcerer as the beginning of desktop news clients. The technology (E-man) was granted an award for Innovation by the UK Government and received over £100,000 in funding from the DTI.


Net Sorcerer provided the blueprint to commercial real-time news strategies for Skysports.com, Warnermusic, Universal, McDonalds and other global brands.

Global Intermedia made a small seed investment which was paid in expertise and strategy through portfolio company e-Man. The relationship ended in 1st quarter 2008.

Zkatter is a pioneering new social broadcasting application set to disrupt the media sector by giving consumers all over the world with the ability to answer a simply question:

Zkatter is a multi client application crossing web, desktop and mobile. Using broadcasting technology with search to provide an exciting real-life broadcast and discovery platform, using video, image and audio with real-time search.


Global Intermedia invested an undisclosed sum into Zkatter in July 2008.

This was followed by another round of funding in December 2009.
